We're Baaaa-aaack!

Hi everybody! It's Suey Sunshine-Sausage here, back at last. We came home from PawPaws yesterday afternoon. The three of us sat in our carriers yelling at mum for the whole trip home. She said it was exactly what she needed after being up since 3am and mucking around in air ports, so we are glad we could help her. We had a good time at PawPaws. It is a bit different to other boarding facilities in that we are allowed out of our runs, and if we are comfortable and well behaved are able to interact with the other kitties there. Fui and Lishy made some good friends and did lots of playing, but I chose to keep to myself and got loving from the lovely Morgan instead.

Mum was worried about me as I developed a nasty case of cystitis last year after staying at the boarder and flying down to Sydney. Morgan kept a close eye on me and gave mum an up to the minute litterbox report each time she called, which was very good for mum. When mum picked us up, she got to see how we were behaving before we noticed she was there. Lishy was being a little monkey on the cat tree with his friend Chai, Fui was sitting inside a big bird cage playing with a wand toy, and I was writhing in a sun puddle. We need to go back to the boarder in a month when mum abandons us again, so she is very happy to have found one we seem happy in.

Today we spent lots of time in the garden helping mum hang out the washing. Our long dead pots of cat grass came back to life while we were away, so we put in a lot of effort choming on those. It is very good to be home! :)

Tuesday Tutorials

I have been coaching my friend Alice in her form on the ball track.She has been putting lots of efforts into improving her speed and flicking ability while I call out pointers from my couch. Today, I give her 9/10. Well done, Alice!

The Outside!

There now exists a plan for enclosing our back courtyard. Mum's been a bit too busy to actually go to Bunnings and get the supplies required, though.
So I have been going on excursions in my harness. I'm really getting used to it now, and don't do the "my harness is so heavy I have to drag my belly along the floor" walk when I'm outside.
It's nice to be out there chomping on the plants and rolling in the dirt again. One of my favourite ever things to do is to writhe on the concrete, and I have some good concrete blocks to roll around on.
The vet cat, Kitten, has been in our courtyard a few times, so I've been having a good sniff of the areas he has been in.
I blow raspberries at the idea of Kitten in my garden!
At the moment, my courtyard is full of dust. It is red dust from the dust storm yesterday! Mum and dad sleep with a window open, so their bedroom is full of red dust too. This is what the sky looked like when we were having breakfast yesterday.
It was like looking through a piece of orange cellophane, and a little bit spooky.

I must admit, they are growing me. I like to sit on top of my cat tree and watch them wriggle around and eat their dinner.
They still aren't as cute as me though:)

Our Cat Hotel

This is where we are staying! Pussycat Park, the Country Club for cats. It is run by the loveliest lady, Julie, who is taking very good care of us. She gives mum and dad regular updates on how we are going and what we are up to. We both enjoy coming out into the courtyard for a play now, and Suey is allowing Julie to give her head rubs and kisses! That is a great big step for Suey, who is a rather shy girl. Mum is happy to know that Suey is relaxing. Suey's shyness was a big factor for mum in choosing a place for us to stay, and she thought Julie would be the perfect lady to look after her. It looks like she and dad were right:)

We even have birds to watch! There are peacocks, ducks and parrots. The peacocks and ducks walk around outside, where there are big fields and a pond. The parrots are in two big aviarys- one in the centre of the courtyard, and one outside. Talk about a smorgasbord!:)
