Mancat Monday

We have been supervising the new sucky monster. At least, we did until it was turned on.I don't think you could blame us for running like the wind when that happened. We are keeping our eye on you, sucky monster!

(Nearly) Wordless Wednesday

We have a new sucky monster and it is so loud that I have temporarily been struck dumb. I think I'm still in shock.

Tetchy Tuesday

Quarantine banned my Casbah Kitten beans. We loved the toys we received from Grrreta so much that mum ordered me some more. Only this time, they didn't make it past those big spoilsports.

I will sit her gazing out the window and think of what might have been...

Make. It. Stop.

My mum and dad went to see Mamma Mia on stage tonight. Now, I am paying the price. The price being a million and one parodies of Abba songs, featuring my name.

This is gonna get real old, real quick.

Hi Kitties

Update-
Suey is home. She has a shaven neck from where they did the blood tests (they had to do it in the jugular, which horrified mum quite a bit). We will get the results on Thursday night or Friday. The vet is certain it is Cystisis, but ordered the tests to help put mum's mind at rest. She made the mistake of googling 'blood in cat urine'. Our advice- never do that. Suey is tired and seems pretty uncomfortable, but she is home. We intend on taking the very best care of her that we can. Thankyou for your purrs. Your support means a lot.

I have some news that has me and mum very worried. My little sister is sick.
On Monday night, she started visiting the litterbox as often as she could. All night mum could hear her climbing back in. She was exhausted by morning. She went to the vet on Tuesday. They gave her an anti inflammatory injection and an antibiotic injection, and diagnosed her with cystisis.
She seemed to be feeling a lot more comfortable last night, but just before 8pm she climbed in her box again and, without squatting like she normally does, urinated a large amount of very bloody urine. She cried, and broke mum's heart.
I watched her very closely until she went back into the vet. She has been there all day for observation and tests. They did a cytocentisis (sp?), and found her urine was off the chart with blood. The urine concentration and acidity was in the normal range though, which was good. Mum is going to go back in and see her in a couple of hours, when she should be able to bring her home. The vet wants to talk to mum about blood tests and ultrasounds.
I am very worried about my sister, and want her to come home and feel better.
We love you Suey.

P.S. Mum passed her test. Thankyou for your purrs.

Oh Boy!

What a day I had! It was not fun! It was a trip to the v-e-t! I had to have needles! It was not fun. The vet said that I was in tip top shape. For the first time in a long time, they didn't say I was fat!! Woohoooooo!!!!!! BUT. My teeth were a little bit less than perfect. So mum has to brush my teeth every single day for the next fortnight to see how they look! That is so not cool. As a result of my fight against the toothbrush, I ended up having a bath to get the allegedly chicken toothpaste off my furs.

So I am now curled up toasting my tabby tush on the heater.
Not a good day.

The Outrage!

I have some shocking news. SHOCKING! Do you know what the woman who calls herself my mum did to me? SHE CUT MY NAILS!!!!! Like I was a little baby kitten!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't had my nails clipped since I was a baby, because I used to keep them worn down playing outside. Now that I'm incarcerated, they were growing like crazy. Do you know who's fault it was that I got clipped?
SUEY'S!!!!! She likes to knead in the lap of the woman formerly known as my mum, and her claws were starting to pinch. And somehow I got roped in, too!!!
I will not take this lying down. I am already preparing my defence for the next time she brings those clippers out.
FIGHT THE POWER!

Conniptions

Our mum is having them. In Sydney, we have to be registered. So mum got all our vaccination, microchipping and desexing certificates copied, and printed and filled out all the forms she could find on the council website, then marched off to the Council chambers with dad in order to make us legal. Only to be told none of it counts, because it is from Queensland. This is despite our microchip being registered with an Australasian registry. We have to go back to the vet again, to have it all verified. As far as the Council is concerned, our old vet might as well have been an alien from Outer Space. We were not happy at all when we heard we will be making our debut at our Sydney vet much earlier. Like most sane kitties, we are not fans of going to the vet.

I took my frustrations out on Suey's mouse.

Hey mousie!
NOM!

NOM!NOM!Now if you'll excuse me, I have to find an easily defensible position. I am not going without a fight!
