Fun on Friday

Today, Suey and I had to go to the vet. We had our health checks and our needle. I weighed in at 7.06kg (15.5 pounds) and Suey is 4.88kg (10.7 pounds). Little Lishy is still the baby. Just before we went on our holiday, he weighed in at 3.96kg (8.7 pounds). That was not the fun part of my Friday. The fun part is this Wunderful Wubba! I have been wrassling it, bunnykickin' it, chomping on it and flicking it through the air. It makes jingly crinkly sounds that make me wild!
I hope you have a fun weekend, friends :)

Mailcall!

We were very lucky to win a prize in a contest that the beautiful ran. Mum was able to pick it up from the post office yesterday.

It was toys from the shop! They smelled a-maze-ing! Suey immediately pounced on the little yellow bean. I was also very interested.
She didn't appreciate my interest though and quickly smacked me upside the head.
When the fish came out of the box, Suey didn't even wait for it to come out of the wrapper before she wanted to play with it. She tried to rip the package herself!
When I tried to have a sniff, I had to quickly get in a defensive position when Suey launched an attack! When I reached for the cute fatbird, the positions were reversed! Suey wanted to have a look, and I bopped her on the nose!
The fatberd is such a perfect shape for bunnykickin'. I had so much fun!
The toys are wonderful.
Thankyou very much, Grrreta!!!:) We are already having lots and lots of fun with these great toys:)

I also wanted to put in a note about Miss Stella Bella. She is an amazing young ladycat. For those who are new to our blog, we fostered Stella and her 5 babies from the babies birth day. Two of her babies survived to be adopted. We also had some other kittens while fostering Stella. One of them, Calvin, was failing to thrive. We had three kittens from Calvin's litter, and another foster mum had two. The other foster mum had Calvin's twin, and he was also failing to thrive. Calvin's twin ended up passing away. In a last ditch effort, mum put Calvin in with Stella. She immediately started caring from him, and he became a whole new kitten. She allowed him to feed from her, and he started growing quickly. As he got stronger, he started playing and having fun with Angus and Ellie. Calvin went on to find a wonderful family. Mum credit's Stella with saving his life.

Mum desperately wanted to add her to our family. However, with our dad's job we will be moving every couple of years. We had Stella when we were preparing to move to Sydney, and mum was surprised at just how hard it was to find a home with two cats. She thought three would be asking for trouble. Stella did have an initial hick up when she was desexed. She pulled her stitches out. Mum had wanted to bring her home to recover, but it wasn't allowed. She spent about a week healing, and was then adopted a week or so after that. The family who has her now is very lucky indeed.

We love you Stella!!

The Return of Moimoi!

My little sister has been getting far too much face time on this blog of late, at the expense of me! So today, I am back!
I am testing out a special toy mum got. It is called the 'Safe for My Cousin' toy.My cousin is three years old. He thinks I am the bees knees. He likes to play with me, but is not used to kitties. So a lot of our usual toys have great "smack the kitty in the head" potential. This toy is fabric on a string. It's easier to use without involving head smacking. We had a big practice session, and I gave it two paws up. It is now riddled with claw holes, which is the mark of a fun toy. This one doesn't leave feathers in your mouth when you chomp on it, either. That is a good thing, especially after witnessing the 'Chase Suey so she doesn't eat the feather' debacle of a few days ago.
I think this was a good return to the blog!

Ruby Loves to Play

Hi! It's Ruby here!I found a really fun collar to play with! I'm sure it was left out there just for me. If you don't want to watch me, you can watch Alias in the background. Sydney and Vaughan are getting their romance on!

I also love the hanging toys in the crate. I am a very playful girl. If I can find it, be it hanging, crinkling, waving, or just generally there, I will try to get to it.

As far as I am concerned, toys should be mandatory at all places.

I Like A Toy!

Since I came to my foster home, my foster mum has been trying to find some toys that I was interested in. I don't care about nip (neither do Fui or Suey- apparently most Australian cats don't). I don't go for wand toys, sparkle balls, toy mousies, anything!

My foster mum got me something new today. She remembered Suey's platypus, which was a present for her when she had her operation, and how she loves to snuggle with it. So today, she came home with a pink bone for me. It is really a dog toy, but it was the best she could find. And I loved it!

I rubbed it and I marked it and I chewed it and I cuddled right into it! And boy did I purrrrrrrrrr. I was so happy, I decided to go into my cage and have a snack. By the way, did you know I have FOUR bowls in my cage, 2 for food and two for water? I used to have none! I also have my litter box in there. Can you see where I shred the paper around it? I only just started doing that a week ago, and I won't tell my foster mum why!

And then with a full belly and a happy heart, I cuddled up in my box with my new bone, and went to sleep. Happy days:)
