We Finished Our Project!

We finished our quilt on time for K's baby's birthday. We were very happy with it. We followed the great instructions on Millie's mum's blog, The Patchery Menagerie. The instructions we used can be found here, although we did it slightly different. We made a big square out of nine pieces, then cut that into four. We followed the rest of Millie's mum's instructions after that.

This was our first attempt at quilting. It was a really cool feeling to have made something for a gift, rather than have purchased something, and we would recommend it to anyone who felt like trying:)

We've Been Creatin'

One of our favourite blogs is The Patchery Menagerie. It is run by the very creative mum of Darling Millie. Darling Millie's mum makes beautiful quilts, and is a great source of inspiration for us.

When we were tiny little babies we lived with our foster mum, K. She had a baby, and this weekend, she turns one year old. We decided to have a go at making a quilt of our own for her. We also tried using some embroidery, to show K's furry family members.

We are having lots of fun being creative, and can't wait to get our finished project!
