Katie

I've had Fui write about our fosters, but for Katie, I wanted to step in. Katie was my favourite, the foster kitty I got along with best of all. She was sweet, gentle, and had excellent cat manners. She was also the first foster we had on her own.
Katie arrived kicking and screaming! She cried the whole way home from the shelter!
Once she was allowed out and about, she was a lot happier. Katie had great litter box habits. As she was an only kitten, she spent most of the day downstairs with us, whenever mum was home. She spent the night in her room.
She was a very playful little girl, and loved to climb the scratching post. Sometimes she would just hang on to the post and watch what was going on around her.
She also had a great tabby pattern, don't you think?! :)
Katie was a real snugglebunny, and mum said she was nearly as good at cuddles as I am. That's some pretty high praise right there, as I am the master of cuddles.
She was also a clever girl. The first time I was ever in my carrier, I realised that I could attack the zip to escape. Katie saw this too, and immediately went for the pipe cleaner that secures them.
Yep. Katie was a special girl. I probably even would have let her stay if she wanted! I was not at all surprised when she went to a jolly good Forever home.

Flashback Friday- Katie Day

Hello! I am Katie, and I am the star of Forever Foster's first Flashback Friday. I was fostered in May 2008. I was fostered when I was really little by my first foster family. They were unable to keep me until I reached my desexing weight, and that's when I went to stay at Fui and Suey's house. I was a bit of a runt, so my siblings went through desexing without me.

I am Suey's favourite ever foster kitty. I have terrific cat manners, and was good at giving her space. She usually steers clear of fosters, but Suey gave me nose kissies!

I am a real little snugglebunny, and loved having lots of lap time with my foster mum. I used my litterbox perfectly. And then of course, I'm as cute as a button!
I'm such a cutiepie that my foster mum kept me an extra week just so my foster dad could meet me, as he had been away! They found it very difficult to take me back.

It was no surprise to them that I was adopted almost immediately. I'm a superstar!:)

We Are Home This Christmas!

I'll be home for Christmas;
You can count on me.
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents on the tree.

Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love-light gleams.
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams.

The Snugglebunny

Katie was a beautiful little angel kitten. She came at a perfect time, and was the best pick me up I could have imagined. She was a beautiful little tabby, who had just missed being desexed with her siblings as she was a little small. She loved to climb up on your chest and puuuurrrrrrrrrrrr.

Katie got along really well with Fuifui, and Suey was very tolerant of her. I think it helped that she was quite a reserved kitten, and didn't force herself on them. While she was curious, she was happy to give them their space, and Suey especially appreciated this. Previously some of them had been quite extroverted, and got right up in Fui and Suey's faces. The Psychos had been especially keen to be very involved with my kitties, and they didn't like this at all!

It was interesting to see such a confident kitten. She had clearly been in a good foster home previously, as she was happy to be around noise, movement, and my cats. I'm still amazed at how lovely she was. She really was a heart stealer.

It was no surprise at all to hear that Katie was adopted very quickly, the day after she was put in the adoption cage. I am certain that she will be continuing to make her new family very happy. They truly are blessed to have her.
