A Bit of Bad News

The hard part of being a foster mum is when things don't work out. The lovely Miss Tillie has been re-listed for adoption. It turns out she was not adopted, as I had believed when she was removed from the adoption listings. The shelter was hit by cat flu, and Tillie caught a dose. She went out on foster until she had recovered, and is now back waiting for her Forever Family to find her.The dear little girl has been in the shelter for such a long time now. Knowing what a star she is, and how much more she deserves, it is very hard not to pick up the phone and get her flown down. If only we were living in our own home, and not depending on the permission of others!

Sweetheart, we love you. We are sending you the biggest, deepest, rumbliest purrs that we can muster.

Because of the cat flu, any kittens on foster were kept out of the shelter until the outbreak had been dealt with. Ellie and Angus are both still on foster, and will probably stay out for another week or two until the shelter is good and clear. We are looking forward to seeing a photo of them now they're growing up!:)

Who could resist Tilly? The picture of Tiny Tilly is just too cute! Reminds me of Max 6 years ago when he was little. I'm sure she will find a furever home soon!

We're sure there's homes just waiting for Tillie, Ellie, and Angus once everyone is over their flus. Maybe their new homes weren't ready for them yet, so now the kitties will be there when their homes come looking.
