Quiet Time

Hello:) We have been having a bit of a quiet time since dad left. Mum's been feeling pretty flat, so I've been making sure to give her lots of extra cuddles and loving. We've been cooking up a few ideas (Fui and I are key in mum's creative process!) and are hoping to put a couple of get things moving along over the next couple of weeks. Given how much I love to be a help, a roster of projects is very exciting for me!:) Fui and I both earned ourselves a new piece of bling! In conjunction with our name and number tag, we have a second smaller one that says "I Am Lost" on the back. Mum is hoping it will be an extra level of security if we ever run out of the house. She is paranoid.

We also wanted to warn people to be very careful with the security of their computers. We have an antivirus program and a firewall on our computer, but managed to get infected with what is called a 'misleading application'. A fake window for 'AntiVirus 2010' came up showing that we had lots of infections, and a bubble popped up from the lower right corner. The fake scan then asks you to buy a licence for the fake antivirus program. It also sits in your computer trying to download other files. One of the bits that was downloaded onto ours opens up new Explorer windows for obscene sites. It was tricky to get rid of, and took quite a while. We are now doing an overhaul of our Internet security. Mum thinks it initially got on the computer when she accidentally clicked on an add in a craft blog she reads.

If only the people who write these programs focused their energies in a positive way!

I hope you have a happy week:)
Love

We had a virus like that last year. We agree with you and are so annoyed that people waste their time with such annoying things. Why can't they use their energies for positive things instead of mucking up our computers.

Take it easy Lissa, you get some good books and dvds and relax at home with Fui and Suey. It is hard moving to a new town, so be kind to yourself.

Having lots of projects will help the time pass quickly until your dad comes home!

We're sorry about the computer problems...thanks for the warning! We try to be careful of what we click on...but our dad isn't always so...

WE wish those bad virus writers would write a virus that attacks and destroys their own computers ;)

We are very interested to see what projects you come up with! You have been through so much with the move and the drama of that silly person who made you wait to move in. Take it easy.

Pee Ess, mom has been working hard on her painting project and it's now clear the color is all wrong so she needs to repaint it! More chances for us to dip our tails in the paint!

Thanks so much for stopping by to wish me a happy Zimaversary! Wasn't it sweet of Huffle to post about me? She's so wonderful! It was great to meet you and I'd love to become friends!

Computer viruses are crappy! Hahahaha! I said a word on the Bad Word list!

We got one similar to that and were able to get rid of it and restore our old settings (it had caused the screen saver to delete and some other things to get messed up). A few months ago, we got a really bad one and we couldn't do anything except reformat the computer. It took many hours!

After a bout with malware (our human dad's a knucklehead sometimes), we now use Spyware Blaster and WinPatrol (both free) in addition to an antivirus program and hardware and software firewalls. Been fortunate since then. Hope this helps!

I agree why can't they put those smarts to something positive.

I look forward to seeing what interesting projects you and Fui are cooking up. That "misleading application" sounds very creepy. Thanks for the warning about it.

Man that stinkies about your puter virus, we hope you can get it all better soon! Mom had a bad Trojan virus last year that was a NIGHTMARE to get rid of. Who in the world puts these things out there? we need to sic the kittehs on them...
