She went to the v-e-t yesterday for a chiropractic appointment. She has these appointments regularly because our vet believes an old injury to her pelvis that we hadn't been aware of was the cause of her chronic cystitis. Since she started having the treatments, her condition has improved 10 000%. But anyway, onto the good stuff.
Mum and dad had talked the other night about how they thought Suey was getting a bit chubby. You'll never guess how chubby though! At her last appointment 12 weeks ago, she weighed 4.5kg, which the vet said was her ideal weight. When she hopped on the scales yesterday, they read 5.2kg. She had put on 700 grams in 12 weeks!! She weighed 115% of what she did last time!!! And now she is on a diet, which she is not happy about. Mum got the dangers of being fat lecture, and felt mortified the whole time.Meanwhile, I'm still getting extra feeds to bulk up my skinny mini frame. Hahahaha!!!

If it makes you feel any better, the 'kitten' is 4.8kgs at 7 months!!! Soon you'll be tiny compared to him!

We love that giggle girl!!! Poor Suey.....we know those diets are no fun. Though mom did kind of give up here...we got cut back cause someone (the princess) was kind of...um....yeah....and anyhow, the only cats losing weight were the rest of us. :) So Ivy is in luck....back to the regularly scheduled feedings. MOL
We are sorry Suey is on a diet. We are too and it sucks!
Poor Suey! Lishy, please tell Miss Suey Sunshine Sausage that if she stays in constant motion like me...she can eat all she wants! Little me...at 8 pounds...eats more than EVERYONE!

We can't believe how calm you are in the carrier! Jenna went to the vet yesterday for a vaccination. She howled from the time our mommy captured her and put her in the carrier. She is loud!

AWw, dieting sux. Seems like one kitteh needs weight and another doesn't in multiple kitteh househoulds. Mom says it's difficult! xoxo

Poor Suey, diets are AWFUL! We wonder if she hasn't gained weight because she feels better and is less anxious about her bladder being hurty. Mommy says now all three of you will have to be fed seperately and she doesn't envy your Mum AT ALL.
Binga and Boodie say they do not get enough to eat! But they are both in healthy weight ranges - Binga weighs about as much as Suey's healthy weight, and Boodie is about a pound more. So I don't think they are getting more food anytime soon!
Me? My human keeps trying to get me to eat more because I am underweight.
Oh, Lishy - you made our mom laugh, and she REALLY needed that today!! Sorry that Suey has to be on a diet. Perhaps your mum could take her for walks on a leash - it worked for our mum...SHE lost the weight!!!.MOL..MOL.. You look very handsome and important in Suey's carrier by the way. Glad she is feeling better.

Hello Lishy, you look very contented in Fui's carrier but, beware! if you stay there you might end up going to the v-e-t by mistake!!paws crossed and purrs for Suey that the diet will work.
