Interesting Meetings

Ever since we had Evie, mum has had a fascination with Frootbats. At the Spring Katz show, there were a couple of Devon Rexes, but they were napping behind their curtains. However, mum and dad did get to meet some kitties from a breed that they have never seen in person before- a Sphynx!

This is Sugarplum Princess Mia of Ragspy. She came all the way from Melbourne to the show. While mum and dad were talking to her mum, they found out some crazy news. They nearly didn't make it to the show, because while in transit, Princess Mia and the two kittens she was travelling with went missing. Guess where they were found?! On a plane getting ready to go to China!
So mum could understand why she was feeling a little short tempered. Mia had a good yell at everyone she could see! Her mum gave mum and dad some good advice for securing our backyard. Apparently Mia likes to try and beat up their dog! Mia is the foundation queen for her cattery.
This is Shahinaz Tiger Lily of Ragspy. She will be the second queen when she is older.
She was also a very talkative kitty!
Shah Kot Azraq of Ragspy was also at the show, but mum was too shy to take a picture. He is a young entire mancat, and he wasn't shy. Mum and dad thought Fui was an exhibitionist, but boy did they get a lesson in exhibitionism today!

Nevertheless, it was nice to meet them:)
Speaking of interesting meetings, we have a great new surprise! Our vet phoned a couple of hours and asked if we could help out. This little baby was found in somebodys garden. The vet nurse is already full up, and asked if we could take him in. Of course, we couldn't say no.

He is tiny- only 20 grams- but he is a little fighter. His eyes and ears are still sealed, and umbilical cord is still attached. We will do our best for him. Our first goal is to get him through the night.
We think he is a little boy. So now to think of a name! :)

What an exciting post! The little one is far to young to be away from his momma, poor baby. We're sending strength, strength, strength and BIG TIME purrs to him.
The frootbats don't seem to be too happy in these show cages...

Oh my goodness, that adorable little boy, and so very, very tiny! We will be crossing all paws and fingers for you.

As for the little sphynx, she was probably looking for the flight to Egypt.....

Purrs,

What a post! Lots of new kitties to meet. The PM has never been to a cat show before but thinks it would be fun seeing all the different breeds.

That poor little sweetheart! We are surprised he made it this far. He must have been found pretty quickly. Stay stong little fella!!!

Your new sphynx friends are very regal looking, but I would be worried that they would always be cold.

What about Buddy for a name?

What a tiny bebbeh. We know you will do everything you can to get him through. Since you happened to be posting about Sphynx, how about King Tut, to bestow strength upon him.

We will purr that he will be a strong fighter!

And those Sphynx cats were cool - much cuter then I would have imagined. And the frootbat ears - you have to love that!
