Changes

There have been some changes going on around here. The biggest is that we are going to be moving soon. We are not sure exactly when, but it will probably be in the coming month or two. We are going to Sydney! Mum and Dad are from Sydney, so they are looking forward to being back in their old stomping ground. We have not been to Sydney before.

Another big change is that Mum is preparing to make us into indoor kitties! Where we live now, it is a good place for us to have outside time. We have lots of space, and no animal predators. But when we are in Sydney, we will be in the city, and Mum is not sure she wants us out there. She is looking into harnesses, so we can start training before we move. She is looking at a Puppia harness (primarily because they come in pink- did we mention she is shallow?). We are looking for recommendations, if anykitty has one.

Stella's babies have been undergoing changes of their own. In this video, you can see them playing with that silly Calvin Bunny. They are getting so big and active!

I think that's about it... for now:)

Here's a link to an article Mommy had Tabby write about leash training. http://hubpages.com/hub/Who-says-cats-dont-like-leashes
She chose the ads for the page to show what we think are the best kinds of harnesses. They're the types we have used and are still using (various styles for different sizes, kitten to skinny adult to adult).

Wow, that's a big change. Is there family waiting happily for you in Sidney? That makes things easier sometimes - or not. ; ) It seems that you got a valuable source of information above. We know that Tama-Chan has a puppia harness an it works for her.

That is kind of scary! I hope that the preparations and all for the move goes well! I never wore a harness... but I understand there is one in this house... for Spooky!

The kittens all look wonderful in the video!

What a major change to be moving to the big city! As Siena and Chilli mentioned above, Tama-Chan has a Puppia harness (hers is an S size - remember they are meant for small dogs!) and just loves it. It seems to be unusually comfortable so when she has it on, she behaves as though it just isn't there! We are planning to get one for Sei-Chan too!

Oh, to be a kitten again... *sigh*

Hey, I hear from my beans that Sydney is a cool place. Hope you handle the big move ok! Will your family be able to foster down there too?

Sydney sounds like fun, but I am sad you will have to become indoor kitties.

Good luck with the training and the moving plans, we know you will be very busy.

Oh my cat does that mean you have to go in the car? I do NOT like the car.

It's us again! I reply to your question, Tama-Chan's Puppia harness is indeed the soft mesh AC30 model. She has the S size but the XS would probably also fit her. She weighs. 2.8 kilos, by the way. Also remember that them M size is supposed to be a LOT bigger than the S size.

Happy Puppia Shopping!

SQUEEEEEEEE! Kittens!
We became indoor kitties about 4 years ago, it was hard for the first 3 months, then we adjusted, we don't even try to escape when a door is open!

Wow, a big move! I'm sure you'll adjust fine to being indoors...of course that's me talking and I don't go outside. Jonesie might not agree with that.

We LOVE the video of Calvin, Ellie and Angus! Will you still be foster parents in Sydney?

It's us yet again! It occurred t us that we have your Paw it Forward package sitting here (and the others too...). We were planning on posting them all out via air mail this week. Would that work for you in terms of your move?

How exciting! I think your mom is very smart to keep you Inside once you have moved. I have a pink Puppia harness. It's a size Small, and it is a tiny bit too big on me, but I think an X-small would maybe be too small. I weigh just about 7 pounds now. Harley can wear my size Small harness once we adjust the buckles a little bit, and he's 10 lb, 10 oz. We also have a stroller that we like going out in.

Wow, those are big news! We are happy for your mom and dad they finally can go back where their heart is. Good luck for all of you! :-X

Moving can be exciting and scary at the same time. I'm glad your Mom and Dad will be back in their old stomping grounds. I hope you guys take to your harnesses OK. We have a stroller that we enjoy riding in.

Kitten Kyootness! Kitten Kyootness!

Our situation is just the opposite. We went from indoor kitties to outdoor when we moved to a rural area from the city. Mom wishes she never let us out. Mom says we may be indoor kitties again, but we would have our patio and lots of fresh air again.

Oh, BIG changes ahead! Not sure about being indoor kitties though. I don't like it one bit. Will you be able to continue with fostering in Sydney?

Those sound like big but still good changes.

How very exciting!!! Moving to Syndey sounds like such a big adventure. Too bad you won't be out in the wilds anymore but you can still go on your patrols on a harness. Maybe you'll get into strollering like some other cats do.

How exciting!!!!!!

You're moving, how exciting! I'm sure you'll get used to a harness. I love mine. The Humans didn't like the cat harnesses available (mainly because they consisted of two "loops" connected only on the back, and that meant that the "loop" around my neck could press on my throat) so they bought one made for small dogs (the loops are connected both front and back and there's padding too) It works a treat.

P.s. Loved the video!
