I was spayed in September 2007, when I was almost 6 months old. This is me recuperating from my operation.
Fui looked after me well, and stayed with me while I recovered. The best bit about having had the surgery done is that it means Fui and I can still hang out and play together, without ever worrying that we were going to have brother and sister babies. That would be a little bit ooky! (please excuse my brothers exhibitionism).
And besides. When you have a surgery you can bring home a cone that you can have a bit of fun with, putting it on your unsuspecting brother. Hahaha!
Look what our good friends Chica and Pumuckl sent to us! It is a postcard from the city that they live in. Look at the lion on the bottom row! Isn't that cool! We were going to post it earlier, but wanted to wait until Chica and Pumuckl were back from their holiday with their Grandparents. Thanks, guys!:)

Oh Suey, such a cute photo of Fui helping you recover. That is quite an exhibitionistic pose though. You'd think he would be a tad worried and protecting his mancat bits. Maybe his operation was already done and he was feeling free.

I got my hoohaectomy done when I was only seven weeks old, and itty bitty kitty. My breeder was a vet nurse, and it was done two days before I comed home with my mum. So she looked after me and gave me lots of TLC.
We hope everybuddy remembers to get their kitties speyed.

What a good brudder he was!
Mommy laughed out loud at your brothers picture!
Fui sure likes to let it all hang out...or whatever he has left anyway! Ha! I also got spayed when I was six months old. I was a bit quiet for a couple of days, but they I was just find and everyone fussed over me.
It is so important to get these procedures done. Mom did not get ming done bedore i went into heat, but Dr. C did it any way! He estimated I was 6 months old.
Oh, Fui, you are so silly! You are as much an exhibitionist as I am! When Zoey was spayed a year ago, she didn't hafta wear a cone when she came home...the vet put her stitches on the inside...
Great postcard from Chica and Pumuckl too!

We have both been spayed and it wasn't fun for nobody of us. Luckily it's over :-)
Hey, our postcard! How great it arrived to you. Mommy wanted one with the lion because she sees one of those everyday on her way to the office :-)
I got to come here from my breeder's home when I was 12 weeks old, and I was already fixed. I guess if you don't get fixed, you stay broken. That's why all cats should get spayed or neutered.
Spaying is a good thing!
Fui had a beautiful tummy.

Haha!
If you look closely at the photo you can see that Fui hadn't yet had his (ahem) procedure.
I wanted to wait as long as possible so his body would get the maximum benefit of still having his hoohas - he's not an aggressive boy but he does play outside and I didn't want him to get bullied by other mancats for being small.
His mother wanted to get him done at the same time as Suey but I got my own way for once.
It wasn't until the vet nurse at the cat hotel remarked on his stripes, and I picked him up to show her his tummy, that I was persuaded to let them fix my 'little' boy.
She took one look at him and said "Yeah I don't think he needs to wait any longer to get snipped."
Which is good; now when he goes outside he doesn't roam far from the house.
Unlike his naughty sister whose lost collar was found by a man a block and a half away.
