Life Goes On

Firstly, we'd like to thank everyone for all their kind words. The support of the CB is amazing.

I sat with Stella and her babes for several hours last night. She settled down, and gave them a few good feeds over the time. She also toileted the babies. This has helped to put me more at ease than I was previously.

I am almost certain that Stella is still a kitten-cat herself. You can see my hand in the photo above, and I don't have big hands. I'd say she is half of Fui's weight (and he's not even that fat anymore!). She also has very new looking teeth.

The babies seem content. When they are not feeding, they are sleepy and quiet. From what I understand, this is a good thing, and means they are getting enough food.

We thought you might enjoy these videos of the beautiful girl, and her little ones.

We also have some exciting news. Young Brad Oscar lived up to his namesake, Brad Pitt, and was the star of an article in our city's newspaper about the shelter. He was adopted yesterday, but we are hoping his newfound fame will have rubbed off on Mickey, Heath, Sally and Penny, and that they will quickly find their Forever homes. Isn't he a poser! He is such a gorgeous boy.

Polly and Sean are both over a kilo now, and are going back tomorrow for their surgeries and to go up for adoption.

I think that's about it!:)

My momma Ellie has something to say:

Stella you are doing an amazing job as a momma kitty. I too was a teen mom and understand what you are going through. I just wish I could be there to help you nurse those kittens since it was my favorite thing in the world to do! You are a beautiful momma with beautiful little bundles of love!

Stella must be very very young. We are so glad that she is getting into her mother role now. She must have been so hungry for love herself that she couldn't give love. That's all better now. We sent you an email, did you get it?

Stella is stunning, she *does* look quite young herself, and seems very kittenish when she's playing with your mum. Those kittens are hilarious! Feeding time is a free-for-all! But they all seem to work it out in the end. What a joy!

PS it's awesome that Brad is famous! I would love it if he got adopted by a family who had a cat called Angelina...

Sorry about losing the little boy kitten, but you are doing a good job of giving mum Stella a loving home to raise her kittens.

You guys are awesome fosters, and we thank you for giving all of these kittens and cats your love, even if their lives are short.

Big smoocheroonies.

Stella sounds like she is being a good mom. It is wonderful to see the sweet videos of her feeding her kittens. We are so happy that Brad found his forever home. He looks so very handsome in that newspaper picture.

What a beautiful little family! I can see Stella is really trying her hardest to be a good mama, even though she is so young herself.

Congratulations to Brad and his new family!

Stella is such a cute kitty and a very young kitty mom.

Congratulations to Brad. He is a very handsome boy kitty. Hope his siblings all get good forever homes.

We agree that she does look like a "teen" kitten. But she seems to have the right idea now. Just watch for sneezes from the kittens (kitty colds can be emergencies with ones that young) and difficulties with pottying.

Oh, and glad that Brad got adopted! Whoo-hoo!!!

How pretty itty bitty cats! My human Tommy says you're doing GREAT! She says it's important for the new Mommy to eat--since she's eating for a whole brood now! And Tommy says now when she looks as pictures of my Mommy (who had us under her bed)-Tommy realizes how young Mommy was. She's wasn't quite a year old either, and looked so small. We'll purr and pray for your new itty bitty cats!

Oh boy I am so happy for Brad!! we get so excited with our friends find forever homes:))
Little Stella does look very much like a little baby.
I do not know if it is the same for all kittehs, but mommas furiends that breeds Burmese has had two Momma kitties and both were tiny little girls.
One has now been de-sexed as she has had a few litters and mommas friend did not want to risk her health by having too many.
And now she is a big girl.. it was funny seeing she was so tiny when she was "fertile" :)
The babies look like they haves very fat tummies, I am sure Stella is going great, but you must understand that even though she appreciates and loves you so much for helping her I am sure she is a little confused as to what is going on also in a new place :)))
