All the Newness

I've seen that it is important for us to have some of Daddy's smells around while he is away (by the way, thanks . Because of you we have Daddy's t-shirts marinating in ziplock bags with undies and socks! MOL! Ewwww!). Well, I thought it was just as important for Daddy to have some of my smells around him. Inspired by Sweet Praline's , I enlisted Mum's help to make a pillowcase with my mug on it. That way, Daddy can cuddle me as he sleeps.
Because we have to stick together at a time like this, I let Suey join in the fun.
Mum helped her stitch a secret message into the lining, so Daddy can remember her thoughts as he goes to sleep. We think it will help him adjust to his away place. And you know what else? There is nothing Army Green about it! Hahahahaha! We're rebels, yo'.
In my other piece of important news, I have a new neighbour. He came to my driveway!!!!
And he got head skritches from my Mum!!! His name is Kramer. Isn't that funny?! Mum and Dad were going to call one of our foster brothers Kramer just last week, then a grown up one moves in next door.
He was such a fan of elevator butt skritches that he face planted into the driveway trying to get his butt as high as he could.
So far, I am tolerating him. He has a cat tree outside his front door, so he peers at me in my garden, and I peer right back at him. Here we are in my driveway. I think maybe we might become friends. So far, we haven't been fighting. There was a little bit of hissing, but I'm an easy going dude, so peace has reigned in my neighbourhood.

I hope your weekend is neat-o!

Sending some of you with your Dad was very thoughtful. And I'm glad to hear you're getting along with your neighbour. He looks like a nice fella.

IT's so much fun to make new friends, and I think, being a kitty, half the fun is in the hissy "get to know you" stage :)
PES: I think that pillow is just gorgeous, and your Dadda will treasure it very much :))

You did a very good job with the pillow for your dad. I don't have any other cats in my street, it's a bit lonely sometimes. I'd like a friend to play with.

Hey Fui, I can smell those T Shirts allllll the way over here in the UK - Stinkin' good! That's such a sweet thing to do with the pillows - your Dad will be much happier when he's away going to sleep with your luffly smells and faces on the pillows. Kramer looks to be a nice tabby fella - nice of you to welcome him to the neighbourhood!

Kramer looks like a good dude.

Tell your daddy to be safe, and to come back as soon as he can.

Enjoy the stinky shirts...love them well! Nice to meet Kramer! We have so many neighbor cats that visit through the year, we don't always know their real names. Kramer looks like a fun boy!

That pillowcase for your dad is such a great idea! And it came out real cute, too.

Kramer looks like a character!

Neighbours can be much fun! I have an ongoing history with the two neighbour cats of whom one likes/tolerates me and the other one attacked me two times...
Hahahaha, marinated shirts! Those are the best! I can't believe how beautiful that pillow case came out! Your mom did it with much love...

That pillowcase is the most perfect gift for your daddy. The secret message in the lining is the sweetest thing ever. You, Suey, and your mum are so sweet to give him such a wonderful gift. Your neighbor Kramer looks like quite a character. His elevator butt technique is very impressive.
