I had a tortie - Miss Remy who I adopted from the Humane Society when she was 6 months old and I was a young girl of 21. My little peanut and I were the best of friends until her passing in 2004 at the age of 16 years.
Her passing broke my heart that day and although I foster and have adopted since, I've never had another female and there will never be another Miss Remy. Torties are very special little girls....
