Tortie Tuesday

When I was a little girl, I was quite a scaredy cat. I thought my mum was ok, but at first I was even a bit wary of my dad. I soon figured out he was cool (he was the one who had the food!) but other people used to give me the heebie jeebies. Other than my friend Greta and my G-ma and G-dad, I would hide from people.
If someone rang the doorbell, I would hide in the wardrobe for a couple of hours just to make sure the coast was completely clear. Over the last 18 months or so, I've been getting braver and braver. I wont necessarily come out and play with people, but I would sit in a good spying spot and watch them.
The other day I had a great big breakthrough. A repair man came to look at our broken air conditioning, and I walked right over to him and sniffed him! My mum never thought she would see the day that would happen, and I got lots of treats and some tuna for lunch. Being a brave girl is delicious.

Wow, that's AMAZING! Truly!

Our scaredy-cat Derry-Bear, should he even live to 20, would never do that. LOL.

Oh, you are brave! Gracie would never come out! She has to know somebody for many days in a row before she'll come into the same room!

Oh Suey - that is so brave of you. You give the mom hope for our Junior. He cracks her up - if someone is over long enough and just sitting, he will creep into the hallway to look at everyone. But NO TOUCHING!!! MOL

That is awesome, Suey! I used to run upstairs and hide under the bed when the doorbell rings, but now I only run halfway up the stairs and peer out to see who is there!

Well done, Suey that is wonderful progress - I am still rather shy and watch from a distance when people come.
Please visit my blog where, because you deserve it (you are all so special) and because you were my first blogging friends, I have nominated you for an award.
Looking forward to learning even more about you all.

Suey, that is so pawsome and amazing! This gives me hope that one day our Nigel will someday get to meet furriends and family in the fur. Did you know that our cat sitter who has been here many times has NEVER seen him? She just takes our word for it that he is in the house when we leave...and we have to double pinky swear he's here when we return.

You deserved a big bowl of tuna sweet one!

Wow, I gotta try that! I usually hide from strangers when they come to our house. But if sticking around means getting treats, I'll give it a try!

Suey, that is fantastic! What a brave girl you are! Maybe there is hope for Moosey (he runs upstairs whenever anyone rings the doorbell, or knocks on the door).
