Blogoversary

Hi everybuddy! Welcome to our Fourth Blogoversary Celebrations. We are not very hard core kitties, so this is how we are celebrating:

When we started blogging, we lived in North Queensland. It was just two of us back then, Fui and Suey. On the day of our first post, we had this little lady staying with us:

                          
Her name's Evie, and she is a Devon Rex. We were fostering her. At the time the shelter thought she was pregnant, and she had also undergone some pretty serious neglect so was staying with us to regain body condition and undergo some behavioural rehab. She was one of our very favourite fosters, and mum would have loved her to stay. She ended up finding her Forever home living with a little doggie who she ruled with the Paw of Doom.

Since we started blogging, we've moved three times to three new states. We've had foster cats and kittens stay and go, and we miss them all. We've had one foster failure- Lishy Lewis von Kittenpants, who started his time with us as a one day old bottle baby named Ron Weasley. The new name somehow evolved out of that! We know he was destined to stay with us as he fits in perfectly and we love him very much. Even if he does have some pretty bad habits picked up from being spoiled when the vets told us he wasn't going to live for very long... He is a perfect playmate for both of us, as he is both a good size for Suey to have a proper wrestle with and a very tenacious player who is not scared off by Fui's rough housing.

We've got some exciting times ahead of us now, too. We aren't fostering at the moment while we prepare to welcome a new little human into the family, but we are hoping to start up again when everything has settled down.
