Today in Australia and New Zealand many of us attend dawn services and veteran's marches to mark ANZAC Day. We go to thank those who have served and continue to serve our countries, and to show our respect for the sacrifices that they make.
The Ode of Rememberance
They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Lest we forget.

It always makes me cry when I read that poem!
We remember our veterans and war dead on specially 11th November as you do today. All honour to the men and women who kept and keep us free.
Purrs to you all today, as you remember all those who have served and continue to serve.
Our Remembrance Day is November 11th, as Bellen mentioned. But every day is a good and right day to honour those who keep us safe.
We pray and purr every day for all the men, women and dogs who serve their country. And in rememberance of those who served in past wars, those gone and those still with us. Our meowmy's Dad was in the U.S. Army Air Corps (now the U.S. Air Force) in WWII and Korea, he passed in 2004.
God Bless ALL Troops!!!

What a moving poem. We, too, thank those who sacrifice to ensure our freedom.

What a beautiful photo and tribute. The Aussie & New Zealand soldiers are very brave, and we are lucky to have them as allies.
