She was born in foster care on 10/10/10. She is very lucky to be here, as her mumcat was thrown out of a moving vehicle when she was heavily pregnant. Thankfully someone kind saw it happen, was able to get a hold of her mum and get her into a safe situation.
Timtam came to us last year in a last ditch effort to try and get her litter trained. It took a lot of effort on our part and on her part, but she did it. She worked out how to use her tray beautifully, and was able to move out of the bathroom into her bedroom, and then got more and more access to the rest of the house. She and Lishy got along incredibly well, they were two peas in the same pod a lot of the time. She also got along well with Fui and Suey. We started to seriously consider making sure she would stay permanantly. Unortunately when Fui became unwell her attitude towards Fui changed and she started trying to dominate him. In order to give him the best chance of recovery we could, we had to reduce the stress and Timtam moved to another foster home with a lovely carer.
We were concerned when she moved that her toileting habits would go backwards, but thankfully she did brilliantly well. It was for that same reason that we waited to post about her adoption, as if she had a regression it wouldn't be unusual for a new family to change their mind. She has not regressed. She has settled into her new family beautifully, and she is the apple of their eye. Her new family took her home in early January, wanting to make sure the stress and disruption of the Christmas period was not going to make things difficult for her.
There are no words for how far beyond thrilled we are for this lovely girl. After 14 months in foster care she now has a beautiful family to call her very own, where she is going to be treasured for the rest of her life. We love you Timtam!
