Mancat Monday

Today I have been thinking about my friend, Whitey. He's a floofy white boy just like me.
When I first came to what turned out to be my Forever home, I was a day old. My brother, sister and I had been abandoned. We were in a pretty precarious position.

We used to check on Whitey and his brothers, to see how much Whitey's health and strength was improving now that he was surrounded by love and care. My mum would tell my brother Harry and I that Whitey was a brave floofy white boy, and that we could be too one day. We followed his example, and we grew strong, we grew healthy. Even me, who had been told that my various health problems meant I was not going to live beyond 6 months by the vet. Harry grew healthy enough for his own home, too. On the day his new family took him home, his new human sister told my mum what his new name was going to be- she had independantly decided to call him Little Whitey.

Godspeed, my friend Whitey. You inspired and encouraged us in ways you never even knew. We love you very much. SRSLY.
