My Update

Hi everyone. As you might remember, my guts are having issues at the moment. I have had persistant diarrhea on and off since I first became unwell. Nothing we've been trying is fixing it up.
My v-e-t gave mum a very fun task over the last 10 days. She had to keep collecting my poop! The samples all got lots of tests run on them, and that resulted in exactly NO clues as to what is going on. Well, I suppose there was kind of a clue. We know there are no parasites or bad bacteria or anything like that involved. Today we are starting a course of anti-inflammatory tablets, as my v-e-t believes I may be experiencing a kind of immune response that first caused my vomitting and the haemmoraging and inflammation in my tummy and is now causing trouble in my bowel.
If you could spare a purr, I would really appreciate your help in trying to make this treatment work. We are moving in January and I have to go to the cat hotel in 5 weeks. We are really starting to feel the time crunch, and mum doesn't want to leave me when I'm not well.

The good news is that I have continued to not vomit, and after losing weight over the last month I have since gained a little bit back at my last weigh in. I have another check up on Friday, so fingers crossed my reports keep getting better.

We are sending lots of huge purrs, Fui! Also, has your Mum tried a diet of boiled chicken and boiled rice? At one time, she had a persistent diarrhea issue with Sen-Chan and that is what finally cleared it up.

I am sending you lots of purrs, Fui! Maybe if this inflammation started in your stomach and is now moving through your bowels, maybe it is working its way out. Paws crossed!

Oh, a million purrs to you, Fui! We are glad you no longer vomit but your wittle butt must be a bit sore. You are looking gorgeous in you photos! Hm...maybe it's time for a raw food diet and some probioics? some chinese herbs? Mum was reading something the other day, she'll try and find it again and let your folks know. and you're moving? where you moving to for your next stop, Fui? it must be exhausting for all of you.

purr purr sometimes the tummy problems that come after an illness are from the antibiotics killing off good bacteria too. A bit of Acidophilus dusted onto your regular food will often clear things up real quick. strokes and purrs from the many kitties here.
