Hey dudes. I have now had my surgery done. I haven't eaten since the surgery, so not for 48 hours now, and the vet let me come home early incase being back in my usual environment got me eating again. If I don't eat by lunchtime tommorow I have to go and be re-admitted, so if you could send some nomming vibes I would really appreciate it.
My brother and sister are very happy to have me home. Mum told me that while I was gone they were both wandering around the house calling out for me. Suey has been giving me huge smooches, and Lishy thinks I'm the most interesting thing he's ever smelled.
I have a big dressing on my tummy over the incision. The good news is that they didn't see anything obviously scary during the surgery. Now we're just waiting on the pathology results which should be in on Monday.
I want to say a very big thank you for all the lovely comments and the purrs left for me and my mum. It was so kind, and so comforting. You are all wonderful.
Love Fui xoxoxo

I am keeping my paws crossed for you Fui.
Oh Fui, You've made it over one hurdle! Please start eating though cuz kitties who don't eat can get hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver disease) if they stop eating for 48 hours. The vets may want to give you fluids under the skin and 'spatula' feed you something like a/d or Recovery special food. Spatula feeding is easy, like taking a spoon and smooshing ithe spoonful of food onto the roof of your mouth (Teri says like peanut butter--it sticks there and you swallow it down, hahameow!)...we have our paws crossed for you to feel better soon!
Fui, we're purring hard that you start eating again on your own, though there is a med that can be given to stimulate your appetite (as opposed to force-feeding you). We'll cross our paws it won't come to that!
The vibes worked, I've just had a small snack. Mum will try again in about an hour to see if I chomp some more. No v-e-t for me tomorrow :)
We are glad you are home again Fui!!!! We have our paws crossed that the report comes back with good news.
We see that you've just had a snack, YAY...KEEP EATING :-)
Eat up Fui! You are a handsome boy and your family needs you at your fighting weight!
Fui...dude! Small snacks are good...now start eating the big meals buddy.
We are all purring overtime for you and if we were there we'd all be licking you...well Ellie would be licking you and she wouldn't give the rest of us a chance.
We will continue our purrs as long as you need them.

Paws crossed that you start eating again very soon - and that the vets don't find any scary stuff. Purring lots for you, Fui!
Fui, we are purring very hard that you'll get hungry and eat! When Felix had his knee surgery the pain meds really blunted his appetite; just a thought. We have paws crossed that the path report comes back clean!
We saw your comment that you had a small snack. Yay! We're purring very hard that you will keep eating and get better soon.
Aw, Fui, it's a difficult time for you and your folks, yeah? We are sending a million good vibes your way! Have you had another snack? Roast chicken (no bones, of course) always gets our mouths salivating, how about some of that? or baby food - just make sure no onions in there. If we can help, let us know. Oh, mum makes us chicken stock, too, if we're off colour and that can help get a belly rumbling; just chicken wings or thighs simmered over the stove for hours (with water top ups) so you get really concentrated chicken juice. you can mush the meat into it too, after. or you could just buy Brand's chicken Essence, which is pretty much the same thing, you just buy it ready made at asian groceries. paws crossed, dude! xoxo
Fui, we're so glad your surgery went okay and you are home now. We see you did eat a little. That's great!! Now keep it up and eat a little more. It will make you feel better.
