Thoughts on Thursday

Yesterday Saussy and I went to the vet. Saus had a chiropractic adjustment, which is really helping her with her bladder issues. She has been much better since she started her adjustments. I had a full check up, and I have some great news!

You might know that when I was a baby kitten I got quite sick, and the vet believed I would not live very long. They said I would not make it past 6 months, and suggested euthanasia. Me and my mum are pretty stubborn, and said it would be up to me to decide when it was my time.

It looks like that was a good choice, because at my check up yesterday the vet couldn't find a single thing wrong with me. She said my heart sounded healthy as a horse. I even got a bonus- I'm a little on the skinny side, so I am on vet-ordered extra treats for winter!

All those wonderful purrs from my fantastic friends have worked a miracle :)

Lishy...you are a fighter and you've got the best family...and if I am a bit biased...the best furriends in the whole world. All our purrs for you worked!

We remember being so scared and thinking that we only had a short time with you, but we knew that if you only had 6 months they would be the best and most love filled months.

Cool that you and your mom didn't listen to that silly v-e-t. Gotta trust your instincts!

YAY, LISHY!!!!! We well remember when you were a tiny guy and the other (mean) vet gave that terrible news. We are so glad you and your Mum chose to fight the good fight! YOU'RE A STAR!!!

That is just fantastic news, Lishy! Goes to show the "experts" don't have all the answers and are sometimes, or often, wrong. :-)

YEAH!! Mom needed some good news this morning. It is sad that some vets hear a heart murmur and freak out - lots of kittens outgrow them (if that is what it was - mom's brain is kinda still fuzzy this morning).

We like the idea of more treats - could we get a prescription for that too???

WE knew you would make it. After all, look who your forever Mom is! Extra treats! You are so lucky!

Lishy that's great news! You were such a beatiful bub and our hearts worried for you so. But you showed 'em. Live long and prosper, dude. You ought to get the CST lady to come to your house and do adjustments, like mum does for us. Well, for me (Sam), Zorro hides under the bed the whole time she is here. Now if only my mum thought I needed extra treats for winter...

Extra treats diet - that's the best news yet.

Yes our mom remembered when your brave and very clever mother made the decision with your help. The second bestest news is the extra treats! The first one is YOU being a healthy and funny and loving kitty.
