Hi kitties! The other day, my friends at the Katnip Lounge asked if my nose gets pinker when I am excited, like my sister from another mother Sweet Pea.
It most certainly does! So does my tongue. Mum uses it as a gauge when I am playing with toys like Da Bird, because soon after my nose and tongue go red, I start to pant and cough. So when my nose approaches red, I have to go for quiet time.

That happens to Figaro, but he is not delicate like you sweet Lishy...and he can rock on all night long. Sigh. It can also happen if there is a super interesting smell and all the blood in Figgy's head rushes to his pink nose!!

Oooh, that happens to Harley, too! His pawpads and nose leather can go from a pale pink that is almost white to deep, almost fuchsia pink. It's usually pale when he is relaxed and darker when he is running around like a maniac. He went to the vet for his annual exam today, and our mom noticed his nose and pawpads were very, very bright!
Wow, Lishy, your nose sends off signals! When Binga was a kitten, she used to play so hard she would start panting, but she has a black nose so we couldn't tell she was overexerting herself until she already was.
That is very interesting! My mom is going to be watching us closer! Only Jazzie Jessie's nose is black.
