Introducing...

Miss Dahlia Sparrow and her batch of beautiful babies.
Only two kittens have names so far, as we are yet to confirm genders. This is little Lily Sparrow, who looks just like her mama. This is Mr. Gus Sparrow.
Dahlia has a little tuxie cutie.
And two little dark kittens. The dark kittens are the first ones to start opening their eyes.Dahlia is settling in well. She is very friendly. The people who brought her in didn't think cats that small (we think she is still a youngin' herself) could get pregnant. When Dahlia started getting bigger, they thought she just had worms. Dahlia gave birth in a dog kennel on the Monday night, and her sister gave birth in the same kennel on the Tuesday. That same day they were taken to the shelter.

Dahlia's sister is in foster care with another lady, and is doing well.

We are looking forward to getting to know this little lady and her family.

Torties may be my favorites; have one myself. They are true individuals. What sweet little babies. I want to gather up the whole bundle and snuggle.

All the BEST to Dahlia and her little sweethearts. I know she and them are in good (Great) hands.

Oh, Momma Ellie is over the edge and wishes she could teleport over to help nurse the little ones.

I for one am not surprised the dark furred cuties are the first to open their eyes. Being a dark furred baby myself, I know we are quite special!!!

Purrs to this sweet family!

Good luck to you (and purrs to the other foster family as well). Love those baby pics!!

And after all this time, we are still amazed that people don't understand how young those girl cats can be when they get knocked up.

Welcome, beautiful little Sparrows. Your luck has now officially changed. May you grow strong and stay always healthy!

I don't understand how humans can be so ignorant and cruel - letting their young, female cats roam free and unspayed, then callously get rid of them when theyget pregnant! I am glad that Dahlia and her sister are safe!

We are so glad that Dahlia and her sister and all the kittens are safe and in loving foster homes now! They are all such cuties!! We can't wait to find out what the other three will be named (you could always try some gender-neutral names!) And we love little Gus - that is a great name for an orange boy (not that we are biased having our orange boy named Gus or anything).

Hello Mama Dahlia! You're doing wonderfully with your tiny children. Mommy smiled at calling your babies "freshies", what a purrfect thing to call new tots!

Welcome to a new and better life.

Dahlia, you and your sis had such a rough start! Trust me, there are plenty of beans who will jump at the chance to love your little ones and you. Forever.

Glad to hear you are relaxed. I'll bet you knew right away that your babies were in good hand. We can't wait to see your little family grow, honey!

Wow! Coal was about this size when Little Girl brought him to me on 10/02/2002 She put him under the car and meow through the screen door until I came out and got him. His eyes were just starting to open. He was so small I thought he was a mole! He soon became my little lump of "Coal"!
