The Newbie

This is the new little kitten who is staying with us. He doesn't have a name yet, because we are still debating whether he is a boy or a girl. Mum think he is a boy, but as she is notoriously bad at sexing a kitten, that doesn't mean much! The little one has had a very quiet weekend. He is eating ok, but mostly likes to just curl up and rest on something warm. Mum is under the blanket in these pictures. He will go for a little wander around the living room, but is not interested in playing or running about. We think he is just conserving as much energy as he can in order to gain some weight. He did make it up onto the couch on his own for the first time today, which was a bit exciting. He will go into the super vet who gave Lishy a good bill of health this week, to see what she says. The pictures are a bit deceptive, as his coat is so thick. He is terribly thin.
We do have some great news about the Ginger Ninjas. Greta has been able to get them into the adoption program at the super vet, where they will be desexed, vaccinated and microchipped before looking for their new homes. This is awesome on two counts- they will be well looked after and get everything they need, and it will not require the resources of the shelter. Hooray! :)
Have a good week, everybuddy :)

I would like to suggest the name Taylor for the new baby. It can be for a boy or a girl! I think he or she will get better faster with a name.

Something tells us, that this little one will make it. We think we see that special sparkle in his eyes! It's very clever to reserve energy when you're not in form. Fatten up, sweet one, we know you will make it!
