Daddy's kitties

Our dad grew up with kitties. Throughout his childhood, he lived with two Burmese (Bruce and Ra), Christmas Eva (who arrived on Christmas Eve) and her kitten Kringer (both tabby and white domestics), Clayton the Russian Blue, and Jacko the tabby domestic. He also lived in a share house with a pretty tortie domestic named Minnie.

Today mum and dad went to the Spring Katz show, hosted by the . There were lots of beautiful kitties there, and it was a little bit of a trip down memory lane for dad.

This beautiful Russian Blue ladycat is WNCA Sapphire DB GD CH Waratah GD National CH Karlinska Blue Moon. She has such a sweet little face, and seemed very calm and relaxed. Mum thinks she was just soaking up all of the attention!
This Chocolate Male Burmese is WNCA DB GD CH Cateecat Sonomo. He was also very chilled out. His furs were really shiny.
This Red Burmese is WNCA Diamond DB GD CH Waratah National CH Kohsoom Maverick. Dad had never seen a Burmese with that colouring before, so it was cool for them to see one today.
We're not sure what this little Burmese kitten was named, but one thing is for sure- he is super cute! He was a friendly little kitten, and seemed very confident. From looking at mum's show guide, we think it might be Cateecat Crash & Burn.
We think that this Burmese mancat is Marvic Gotcha Freddy. He was so placid and laidback! We are not sure what this kitty's name is. Mum and dad were amazed at his muscles. He looks like he has been drinking lots of protein shakes! His brother (a Ragdoll) was also on show, and their mum was telling our mum about how much they enjoy coming to shows. They even stand with her when she is getting the tub ready, waiting to have their show bath!
We have some more pictures from the show to post this week. Mum wasn't smart enough to make sure she got the crate numbers in the photos, so ids are from memory mixed with a bit of guess work from the show guide. So hopefully we have correctly identified them, but we apologise for any mistakes.

Have a great week:)

My mum says she can't believe how relaxed kitties are at cat shows. I guess they are used to it.

They are all very beautiful and we could take them all home.

My dad has always lived with kitties too! But not mum - I am her first cat.

They are beautiful! We guess beeing laid-back is an essential trait for a good show cat. Nobody would like to see a cat, e-g. little Chilli, meowing and whining miserably and pushing against the crate... At the end of September is a cat show here in Cologne and mom thinks of going.

P.S.: Mom never had cats. She had bunnies and guinea pigs when she was a child.

Mom's only been to one cat show, and was astounded at how calm they all were! It must be hard to take a good nap in all the excitement!

They are gorgeous! We enjoy seeing photos of show cats. Even though I am a purebred Devon Rex, I am not show quality. I do not know why though.

Those are beautiful cats. Your Dad was lucky to have so many cats. Our Mom had a cat but her Mom had a dog. They got along very well.

My mom has only been to one cat show and it was years ago. She's thinking she should go to another one...but I don't understand...aren't we enough of a show here at home? I don't think I want her to go.

My dad did not grow up with cats, only woofies. He was successfully converted by those who came before (Morgan, Roger Ramjet, etc) and now he's as big a sucker for a kitty as my mom! Ha!

He looks very much like the last kitty, though it must not be my dadda acause he does not have rag doll brofurs of sisfurs.
My kitty dadda is very handsome, but more so a very happy man, his momma (mommas good friend) says he loves the shows too, he loves the attentions! :) His name is Major :)And he has lots of muscles and a big man jaw and BIG hoohas! hahaha

Wow. I don't think I've got what it takes to be a show cat. Stick me in a cage and I wouldn't stop yowling until you let me out!

Those are great pictures from the cat show. I can't remember the only cat show I was at because I was very little (I kind of remember the crates they stayed in). I was the cat person in our house (although I love doggies too) - my boyfriend grew up with dogs. But he becamea cat person very quickly.
