Problems and Solutions

This is our problem. A big, blank, boring wall. (and also a mess...). Mum likes sillhouettes, especially profiles of little kitty faces. She also likes bright colours and patterns, so thought some colourful sillhouettes of us might brighten the place up.Mum chose a size first. Each profile is being made to fit in a 21x30cm Nyttja frame from Ikea. Then she used freezer paper to trace some promising photos, which she enlarged on the computer. This is an example of a Suey profile, which we're using in another project.Mum cut the profiles out of paper first, to see which ones looked the best. Some of them looked good on screen, but were a bit blobby when it was just an outline! These are the four that looked best to us. Mum then chose fabrics from her stash, and ironed fusible webbing on before cutting the profiles out. She then ironed the sillhouettes onto backing fabrics cut a little bit bigger than the size of the frames. I am on the left, and Fui is on the right.
This is mum and dad. Can you guess who is who? MOL!

This is what they look like in their frames on the wall. It has brightened up the boring wall. I think that is a problem solved!:)

We're speechless. What a pawsome solution! Could your mom pop over and help our mom with decorating? Please?

Your mum is very clever! We have photos on our walls (that mum took) because she cannot sew to save her life. If you saw her trying to repair Mr Mouse, you'd know what I mean.

Well done, they look great. Your mum could set up a little business and make some extra moneys.

Whoa! Will you be coming to the US anytime soon? Mom could use your Mom's assistance! She's an absolute idiot with walls. She said that, not us!

What an absolutely lovely way to decorate that big space!!!!!!!!!
Your Mom did a pawsome job, and it was very creative too!! Our Mom is impressed :)
We also liked your post on kitty behavior. We have always been indoor kitties so we are used to that. Our big adjustment now is Mom working outside the home. She used to work at home. We do not like that she is gone so long :(
WE do like your posts on keeping kitties happy a lot :) Thanks !!!

That is an awesome idea! Mommy thinks that is a perfect solution to our plain craft room/ office walls.

I like your post about keeping inside kitties happy. As a former feral, my beans did lotsa research on how to keep me happy inside only after my rescue. All the things you posted below worked for me! They also used Feliway to calm me.

Mommy also spoke to an animal communications person about me. See, I am mommy's first cat and daddy's first indoor only cat. She told them to talk to me a lot and tell me it is "safer for you Hendrix (enter your cat's name here) inside your den." My beans stress this even now on rainy days and cold days. I have really shown no desire to go outside.

PS how did your mommy do your kitty profile shots and make them look so good? mommy wants to try that.
