Marty goes to Maroochydore

On the first night of our trip, we slept in Rockhampton. This is a town that is famous for MEAT. It was one of the biggest cattle areas in the country. As you might expect, there are lots of meat related things there.
This is me with the Big Bull. He doesn't really count as a Big Thing, because he is life sized. But I thought he was worth mentioning. I'm a bit hard to see in this photo, so you might have to biggify.

Rockhampton is crossed by the Tropic of Capricorn, so I made sure to pose on a marker for the latitude. This was the sight that farewelled us from Rocky. Told you they were keen on their meat!By the time we got to Bundaberg, we were staaaaarving. Much to our despair, we found out everything was closed for a country show holiday! We drove to the next town, only to find that Childers had shut down too! We managed to find the one bakery in town open, and I was very thankful to chow down on my apple turnover.By the time we got to Maroochydore that night, we were ready for a big snooze.

Mum says she has seen that big bull and really he is not that big, she agrees.

Are you on the bull's ear? The picture refuses to biggify itself. We're very relieved to hear you got some food in the end!

Oops. We don't know why it's not biggifying, or how to change it so that it will. Good spotting, Bajas, I am on the ear!

Hi Marty! You sure a a world traveller aren't you?!

We think the big bull is way less scary that that big snake you saw.

That looks like a good apple turnover. There are a lot of cattle where we live. There are three 'farms' within our city limits. Mom sees dairy cows and Longhorn caws evry day!
