Echidna!

When Mum and Dad went for a drive checking out kitty hotels, they had to go into the bush a little way. On the road, they found this little guy!

They were excited to see it. It is only the first time ever that mum has seen a live one in the wild, and only the second time dad has seen one.
Look at those spines! They could do some damage, I think.
Although it wasn't the echidna that mum had to worry about. She and dad went for a run down the road to see it, and mum tripped on a rock and went sliding through the gravel. You can't take her anywhere!

Wow! You all are so lucky, getting to see all the wildlife on your trip! (Sorry, no pun intended)

That sounds exactly like something my mum would do. Useless.

Wow, I'm glad I'm seeing a picture of that wild thing...I'd be afraid in person! All my ninja paw moves would fail me, I'm sure.

What is it with our humans? Must we watch them all the time? Hope all is ok!

That is interesting! Mom Googled it so she could read up on it! It is so cool to be able to see animals in their native habitat!

Watch out for that spines!

Mom isn't exactly graceful, either! The Echidna's spines look very intimidating!
