We Will Remember

Today in Australia and New Zealand, we mark ANZAC Day. On this day, we pause to remember the men and women who have fought and died for our countries. If you would like to read more about ANZAC day, you can click to visit the ANZAC Day Commemoration Committee(Queensland).

Each has won a glorious grave - not that sepulchre of earth wherein they lie, but the living tomb of everlasting remembrance wherein their glory is enshrined. For the whole earth is the sepulchre of heroes. Monuments may rise and tablets be set up to them in their own land, but on far-off shores there is an abiding memorial that no pen or chisel has traced; it is graven not on stone or brass, but on the living hearts of humanity.
Take these men for your example. Like them, remember that prosperity can be only for the free, that freedom is the sure possession of those alone who have the courage to defend it.
-Pericles

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them, now and always.

To our Daddy, we love you, and we are very proud to have you as our Dad.

You should be very proud of your Dad - I am very proud of Paul too. He spent 7 years in special forces. We are very lucky aren't we?

Beautiful post. It's always good to remember those who made sacrifices for all of us.

But please don't do what Dragonheart and Merlin's people did! They posted on Canadian remembrance day and then disappeared forever without a word!

It's important to remember those who fight for freedom. You have every reason to be proud of your dad.

We know you must miss him very much (we missed one of our human friends when he was away) and we hope he'll be home with you soon.
