It's nearly time!

Christmas where the gumtrees grow,
Where there is no frost and there is no snow,

Christmas in Australia's hot,
Cold and frosty is what it's not.

When the bloom of the Jacaranda tree is here,
Christmas time is near! - Val Donlon/ Lesley Sabogal.

Oh we LOVE jacaranda trees in our house! You two look very big in comparison to that one though...

hehe what a wonderful little post and ditty to match! :)
Yeah it's so not fair that we have to put up with a stinker of a Chissymouse.
It's funny how it is always like mega hot.. :)

Awesome song and great photos my friends. Mum loves Jacaranda trees, not so many in Wellington, but lots of them in Napier.

We have had a weekend of crazy rain and it is cold. I hope it gets sunny next week.

We too adore the Jacaranda! Our mom saw it the first time in her life in Mexico a year ago. She was stunned! Lovely song!

I've never heard of a Jacaranda tree! It's beautiful! Nothing is blooming here!

Guess what? We have Jacaranda trees where we live, too! Sometimes it is a little hard for us to feel Christmassy when it is 80 degrees outside.

We live a bit further north than Daisy, but it is just as hot! We are hoping Santa brings us a snowball!

What a fun rhyme. When our Mum was little it was a delight for her to hear her relatives in Aus tell her about Christmas dinner on the beach. She couldn't imagine such a thing being real! That jacaranda is so beautiful.

Stay cool my friends!
