Rememberance Day

Today is the eleventh day of the eleventh month. At the eleventh hour, we ask you to join with us and pause for a minute, in rememberance of the sacrifices of members of the Armed Forces and civillians in times of war, and in it's aftermath. The time is significant, as it marked the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front, in 1918.

For The Fallen (excerpt)
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

As the stars that shall be bright when we are dust,
Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain;
As the stars that are starry in the time of our darkness,
To the end, to the end, they remain.
-Laurence Binyon

This is indeed a day to remember all who served and those who serve now.
We owe our happy lives to their sacrifices.

Oh yes, we will always be thankful for all those who served. We can never repay their bravery.

Thank you all for coming to my party!! It was so fun. Those two little kitten pee peers are cute as buttons and soaked the shower mat! Loved it!

You all did a great job.

This is a very special day. Momma always feels so very sad on this day, for not only the men and women lost but their families also...

Momma hates wars....

We will Remember them...

Beautiful post. We will always remember. The PM's Grammie was a war bride and drove an abulance during the war. Her Grampie fought overseas and was wounded in battle. They are both gone this November 11. Reunited in heaven now.

Thanks to your dad for doing his bit. I think you said he was in the army, or maybe it was Australia Zoo (just joking). Tell him he can have some beers and put his feet up tonight.
