Floofy Friday

Hey everybuddy. You would not believe how much floof I have been losing around our house. My ruff is thinned out a lot!
Meanwhile, our carpet has been growing a whole new white coat. I don't know where it all came from, but it's really quite floofy. The vacuum is really struggling to keep up. Happy last day of the year, everybuddy! Remember to imbibe your nip responsibly tonight, and we will see you in the New Year :)

Norty Torti Thursday

Hi kitties. It's Lishy here, hiding in the bushes. I have an illustrated guide to knowing when to give the torti crazypants I call my sister a wide berth.

You know you're in for some trouble when the crazy leaping starts. If a hook appears in the tail, she is about to get up to serious mischief. If the hook in the tail is accompanied by the patented 'Suey-Sunshine-Kookaburra-call', that's when you should take your leave. My sister posesses a certain talent for causing carnage and then getting others in trouble for it! Don't tell her it was me that leaked her secrets!

Our awesome friends at are having a commentathon. Make sure to check them out, they are a bunch of cool cats. One of their fosters, Bug, looked just like baby me!

Hi Kitties!

We hope you had a super special Christmas. We had lots of fun nomming and relaxing and having snuggles. On Christmas Eve, I kept a good watch out for Father Christmas. I listened really hard for his sleigh and his reindeers.
Despite my best efforts I couldn't catch sight of him, so sent out random squinty love eyes incase they hit him.
It must have worked, because this is what we found under the tree the next morning. Happy Christmas smooches all around!

Merry Christmas!

We wish you a wonderful Christmas, everybuddy!

Hi kitties! The other day, my friends at the Katnip Lounge asked if my nose gets pinker when I am excited, like my sister from another mother Sweet Pea. It most certainly does! So does my tongue. Mum uses it as a gauge when I am playing with toys like Da Bird, because soon after my nose and tongue go red, I start to pant and cough. So when my nose approaches red, I have to go for quiet time.

Tired Tuesday

We've been working very hard to help our mum. Without us, she would never get any Christmas presents wrapped.
It's very hard work though.
So sometimes when we're helping, we like to rest on the paper.Mum says this isn't very helpful. We don't know what she is talking about.

Silly Saussy Sunday

Kitties. I'm in trouble. I messed up, right when Father Christmas is paying extra close attention. About a week ago, mum was getting some things ready for the Santa Paws drive my friend Greta is running. She had two bags of fishie treats ready to put in the bag. I sort of maybe stole one of those bags and chewed it open and ate some of the fishies. Yes kitties. I stole from the poor. That bag was sealed up and put in our treat cupboard. Mum didn't think the shelter would want my spit.
Today, mum and dad went to celebrate pretend Christmas before dad's sister, her husband and two little boys went overseas. They got home to this. While they were out, I broke into our treat cupboard. I ripped the ziplock bag open. I ripped open the bag of fishies even more. Then I ripped open the Temptations.
I made the biggest holes I could with my tiny tortie teeth. All the better to nom the treats up with. In my enthusiasm, I forgot to hide the evidence.Mum told me that she is in tight with Father Christmas. This could be a very lean year for this little tort.

Friends on Friday

Hi Kitties! When it was first decided that I would stay, mum was worried about how Fui and Suey would react to having a new brother. She was also worried they wouldn't accept me, as they are very very close, and that I would get lonely. She doesn't worry anymore :)
Love Lishy.

Re-discoveries

When I was a baby kitten, I loved to hang out in the cubby house in my cat tree. I haven't been in there in a long time, about 11 months. That is most of my life!Well, two days ago I re-discovered it, and now I love it again. I snuggle up with the Christmas reindeer I got from Father Christmas and watch my dad use the computer.
It is nice to relive your kittenhood sometimes.

Trippy Tuesday

Hi Kitties! It's Suey here. Today, we ran into something CRAZY! My mum calls them bubbles, but I call them a little bit freaky. Lishy calls them "RUN!!! RUN AWAY AND HIDE!!!!!!".
Fui thought they were pretty cool, and spent a lot of time admiring them. He has always been the bravest of the three of us. P.S. Please don't look at my weed garden too closely!

Mancat Monday

When my mum and dad were getting us to pose for their table numbers, we had a lot and a lot of out takes. Mine were mainly because I just wanted to DIG into the pot.Mum made the mistake early on of putting a treat in there, and I didn't forget! You know how my mum and my sister are really bad gardeners? Well, since we are moving to Melbourne in a couple of weeks, we had to have an inspection of our house to check everything was in good condition today. One of the things they checked was the garden. So mum, Suey and dad spent time on the weekend getting everything neat and tidy. They pulled out the dandilions and neatened up the garden beds. They were quite happy with their work. Today, the inspection lady said they'll have to pull up most of the remaining garden bed, because it is weeds. Mum and Suey couldn't tell the difference!! Hahahahahaha!!!

Thursday in the Garden with Saussy

Hi kitties. As some of you may remember, my mum and I are No Good as a Gardening Team. Infact, we are probably the worst in the Society of Feline Gardeners, unless weed growing is a skill. It is very kind of not to kick us out. I do have one area of expertise in the garden, however. That is to lie down on the pavers and allow my dad to worship me. He is very good at giving me pats.
My mum calls this next picture 'The Look of Love'. I'm a bit of a daddy's girl, you see. Mum often catches me gazing at my dad like he is the king of the world. These gazes are magnified when he is giving me some loving. I hope you have found a way to enjoy your garden even if you are on the black pawed side like me :)
Love Suey.

Mancat Monday

This picture is of little Lewis Sparrow, the mancat-in-training, on the morning he went back to the shelter. Doesn't he look cuter than and kitten should?!You might remember Hayden, a kitty who was up for adoption at the Cat Protection Society that we posted about during Adopt a Less Adoptable Pet Week. Hayden was having trouble finding a Forever Home because he is an older black kitty who got nervous around children. We wanted to let you know that Hayden was recently adopted. Hooray :)
Have a happy week!

Finally Floof-in-Training Friday

Remember those posts that mum was going to schedule while we were on holiday? That showed the last few days Dahlia and the Sparrow babies were with us? Well, she didn't. So here is one of them.

I did love my little friend Gus. We bonded over our shared love of yelling at everyone.Gus is a cheeky wee chappie, and we had lots of fun playing together. We liked to hang out on the stairs. I was helping him practice his stalking skills. Here, mum was the prey!He wasn't the greatest stalker, but he is a sucker for a smooch so he still reeled my mum in. Gus' gorgeous mama Dahlia has now had her ladygardenectomy and microchipping, and has been brought upto date on her vaccinations. She is patiently awaiting her Forever home, so if you know anyone in Sydney looking for a most wonderful friend, send 'em on over to the . Tell them Lishy sent you!
