Thinking

We are huge fans of Ikea. It has to be the best place ever for picking up new hiding spots and perches. It is also helpful in creating sneaky opportunities to pounce on big brothers! Muahahaha!
Mum made us give the shelves back though. She says that our kitchen was designed by a man, and they are needed for food storage. Spoilsport!
Yesterday we wrote about how we are getting along better. Our friends Gandalf and Grayson made a good point, about how we no longer have kittens around and do have our Mum and Dad. Mum thinks having Dad home has had a really big positive impact on him. Our relationship got a bit frostier after he left, and improved as soon as he got home again. Mum says the nights he was home for Easter were the first nights I had been relaxed since he left.
Mum has wondered whether being away from Scarface has helped us. He is an intact male stray who resisted a month of sustained trapping attempts. Our foster mum Kate had been trying to gain his trust, and was doing a great job until Scarface started bullying her kitty, Winnie. He started hanging around our house about the time Dad left. Whatever is influencing us, we are happier, and that makes Mum and Dad happy, too:)

Side By Side

Mum and Dad think that our time spent with Julie at the kitty hotel has been good for our relationship. In recent months, we had been getting a bit fed up with each other, and were playing 'slap the sibling' more and more often. You may remember Suey's injured eye, caused by One Fat Tabby. It seems now that the time spent together in small quarters has helped remind us that we love each other, and we are getting along really well. The cold weather, which is new for us tropical kitties, is also probably having an impact
As well as snuggling together and keeping each other clean, we have been playing lots of games and having fun together. Success all around, we think:)

Sillie Tillie Billie

Do you remember this lovely little ladycat? It's Tillie Tuxedo-Rex. She is still waiting at the shelter for her Forever Family to come and find her. As well as being cute as a button, Tillie is a lovely girl with a gigantic personality. We are hoping that if we ask our friends to purr for her, it will help draw her family to her, and get her into the loving home that she so deserves.
We love you Tillie! Purrrrrrrrr! Purrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!
Edit---
This was supposed to go up much earlier, but we've been having lots of trouble with our auto posting. Is anyone else having this problem, or know what we are doing wrong?

Come on, Mum!

Mum! Hey mum! You've got a bit of cleaning up to do! Would it really hurt to get these boxes out of the way?!
You'll have to excuse us though. We've got other plans. MOL!:)

Welcome!

We have now spent our first 24 hours in our new home, and we must say, we're pretty happy with it.

We have discovered that the new woolen duvet mum and dad got for chilly Sydney is supremely cozy.
In Townsville, we could get away with just a sheet on the bed. It's not sheet only weather down here! To inspire our dreams, the cover has birdies on it! Nom nom nom. I have discovered a great hiding spot for naps. Dad arranged the furniture in the spare bedroom so I would have 'steps' up there. Great plan, Dad!:)We are also liking these big windows. The trees outside were full of birds, and Fui enjoyed watching them. Mum is going to set up our ham-micks in front of the windows, so we can have our own tv.We have had lots of fun driving mum bananas by playing Thundering Herd of Elephants up and down the stairs. Sometimes she could swear fat Fui is rolling, rather than running. Hahaha!
So far, we have been good at not charging for the doors. Mum and dad think the long time at the border will have helped us in our transition to indoor cats. Mum is trying to grow some cat grass and cat nip- from seeds!- to bring the outside in for us. We hope our sensible dad goes to the nursery and gets some that is already grown. Otherwise, we may never see greenery again... MOL!

We're Home!!!!!!

We arrived home about an hour ago. We have both had some food, big drinks, and used the litterbox. We were a bit unsettled when we first got home, I had a bit of a cry and Suey hid under the couch for half an hour. Suey has climbed up the new scratching post, and I have been shooed off the bench twice, so we're starting to chill out. Mum has closed up the bedrooms for now while we get used to downstairs, and has put all of our beds and blankets around the lounge and kitchen, which she had sealed up in plastic bags before we moved. She is hoping that having our smells around will help us relax. Suey is now chilling out on top of the cat tree, while I am patrolling the house. I think Suey is trying to stay close to mum.

At the moment, mum is giving us some space from the flashy beast, not wanting to stress us anymore. We hope to have some pictures up tomorrow to show you our new house. We can't wait to catch up with all our friends, and see what you have been up to!:)

Julie, the lovely lady who looked after us, said that we are some of her favourite ever guests:) Hooray for us!:)

Compare and Contrast

In an official "we're out of ideas' post, here is a nice little compare and contrast post.
Exhibit 1: When Fui, the gentle giant, met Calvin Bunny.

Exibit 2: When Suey, the hissy kitty, met Tillie Tuxedo-Rex.Hahahahaha!

Fui and Suey go on their plane ride tomorrow afternoon. We are a little bit nervous about it. If you could please send a purr their way, we'd really appreciate it.

Marty Cleans the House

Hi dudes! We got our new house keys today. Hooray! I spent the day helping the man and the lady get the house clean and tidy. The lady wanted to make sure that there were no cleaning left overs that could be harmful for Fui and Suey, so they wiped over anything that could have remnants on it (much to the man's joy, mol!). The lady insisted that the agent send out a locksmith to change the locks. There was a key missing, and she is a bit of a scaredy cat. But other than that, it's looking good!:)

Ou furniture is arriving tomorrow, and Fui and Suey day is Wednesday! HOORAY!!!:)

My Walk to Bondi

Hi mancats and ladycats! It's your intrepid reporter, Marty Mouse here. While we wait for our house to be ready, we have been staying at a beach called Coogee. It is a pretty place. Before the man lived in Townsville, he lived in Coogee. There is a popular walk from Coogee to Bondi, and the lady and the man decided to do it. Of course, I decided to join them. There were lots of interesting sights. I enjoyed watching these seagulls. There were several photography buffs on the walk, taking photos of the birds with cameras 10 times my size.
Along the walk, there were lots of little coves. This one banned dogs, but there was no sign about fluffy green mice, so I enjoyed a rest there. I have little legs you know, and have to race to keep up with the man and lady! At this beach, I spent some time watching the surfers. When I first saw them, I thought they were sea birds!
It was a lovely walk. We got to Bondi in time for lunch.
While we were in Bondi, I went back to Bowhouse with the lady to get Fui and Suey a new wand toy. It is pink and has feathers on it!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, peeps:)

My Neighbour

Do you remember this fella? He is Kramer, my old next-door neighbour. We spent many an hour in stand offs and staring competitions.
But contrary to how it may look, mum thinks we actually quite liked each other. He has moved out of his house to go to another new city, too.

We wish you lots of luck, buddy, and hope you have a super happy life:)

International Cats in Boxes Day

and have declared today International Cats in Boxes Day.Well, that is certainly something we can get behind!

From the first night I came to my Forever Home, I showed myself to be a box afficionado. This is me inside the box castle Dad made. I don't restrict myself to just sitting in boxes. I am also a fan of sitting on boxes. It's great for that slight lift to your vantage point. As a box loving kitty, recieving packages is one of my favourite times in the world. I also like it when fizzy drinks are purchased in bulk! Fui is also a box fan, though not to the same degree as me. It's probably because he's a little bit fat. He is of the belief that boxes are great for launching ambushes. I have enjoyed Cats in Boxes Day, and will look forward to seeing everybody else's posts:)Guess what else! We have finally gotten the stupid man out of our house. It is being thoroughly cleaned and fixed up, and then our things will be moved in on Tuesday. On Wednesday Fui and I are hopping on the plane and coming home! Whoohoooooo!:)

Hamming it Up

Is there a better way to while away the hours than snoozin' in the comfiest of Ham-micks?

Perhaps one better thing. And that is snoozin' in the comfiest of ham-micks after learning that Jasper Bunny is tonight in his Forever Home!!!!! Have lots of love, fun and laughter there, you little tailless wonder:)

Bunnylicious

Hi! Remember me? Calvini Bunnini, aka Calvin Bunny, aka the Ginger Ninja, aka Calvin what are you doing out here?
I take my dream of being a magician seriously. My favourite trick to practice is disappearing. When I was living at my foster home, my foster mum set the crate up downstairs, and set a fence up to give us a big area downstairs to play in. Well, I figured out a new trick quickly, and that trick was to sneak over the fence! I loved to get out and sneak up on my foster dad.
Early on I was a bit clumsy, and he would hear me falling off the fence. That would result in a lengthy game of chase, hide and laugh. With practice though, I could creep over as quietly as a little mouse. One night, I snuck over the fence while my foster mum was watching. I crept over to my foster dad, and when he looked at me, I crept back over the fence, then sat and looked at him like I'd never been out in the first place. My foster mum thought it was very funny.
My foster dad became my good buddy, and I am happy that I was able to spend time with him after he got home:)
Love Calvin
