The theme for this weeks PhotoHunt is 'Thankful'. What could be more perfect than these two to illustrate such a theme. I am thankful that I have three such beautiful souls in my life in these two and their dad.
We are thankful that we are able to have little kittens and sometimes cats stay, so they have time to get strong and healthy before finding their forever homes.
We are also thankful that we have met such lovely kitties, woofies and beans in the Blogosphere. You guys rock!:)
We are looking forward to seeing other takes on the theme.
Fui and Suey might be a bit absent over the next week, as our foster mum has a busy time coming up and wont be able to help us visit. They'll try and visit as much as they can:)
They're cuties! They are the Oscar Family. They are super duper playful, and so full of energy. The Smitten-Kittens are a little purturbed by them. There has been a lot of hissing, but Polly has already started mimicking their wrestling moves on a sheet. One of the reasons mum brought them home is that the Smitten-Kittens are not very playful. She thinks that because they were in pretty bad condition when we first brought them home, they've learned to just survive so far, and try to regain their strength and health. She is hoping the new Oscars will help to bring out of their shell and teach them to have fun.
If you don't mind, would you be able to send a purr for our mum? She has been missing our Dad a lot these last few days. This being far away thing is not fun.
I wanted to share these nice photos of Freja and Athena hanging out together.
They are two kitties who really enjoy being sisters:)
Our foster mum didn't come home with an empty carrier, though. She came home with FIVE more kittens! There are four boys and one girl, and the shelter workers named them after Oscar nominees- Sean, Heath, Mickey, Brad and Meryl.
Speaking of Oscars, guess what! Fin has announced the winners of the Acatemy Awards, and I won in the Best Review of '80s Television category! I am so excited!
I would like to thank Fin and her Mom for hosting such a fun competition, the Dell laptop that I watched the show on, the students of West Beverly High School, and my foster mum for transcribing my thoughts on Beverly Hills 90210.
Hi! It's Polly Smitten-Kitten. Fin is running an Acatemy Award competition, and this is my entry. I kind of cheated a little bit, because this is about a tv show. I hope you don't mind too much!
Today, I sat down to review the show my foster mum has been watching, Beverly Hills 90210, on DVD. It started out with some nice scenery, which was a good way to grab my interest.
I would say that rather than being a drama, it is probably better classed as a melodrama. There was a new crisis every two seconds. I think it's because they don't nap enough. No wonder they're feeling a bit crabby.
I should add, though, that I am a girly girl, so the romantic walks on the beach were a hit with me.
These are the baddies! They are not very nice people. All good shows have baddies. Will they succeed? I'll have to tune in next week.
Hi! These videos are not too good, but we got our foster mum to show how well Polly is going. With her perfect timing, she got the camera out when Polly had just eaten and was ready for a nap, so she wasn't very active. However, you can see how alert she is, and how she is focusing really well with her beautiful golden eyes. When she was unwell, she was completely apathetic to anything going on around her, and didn't look or focus. You can also see how lovely her coat is looking. It has started getting really soft in the last couple of days. She has nearly caught up to Penny's weight, too.
Of course, we couldn't let Polly be the sole focus, and did our best to get some camera time, too. We were feeling happy in these videos, because our foster mum told us some really happy news. Loki and Apollo were both adopted in recent days! Hooray!!!!!!! Our foster mum found out today, and she is very happy for both beautiful boys. Athena and Freja are scheduled for their ladygardenectomies on Tuesday.
Our foster mum also wanted to share something with the other beans. Today she went and donated blood. It was much easier than she imagined, and while it stung a bit as the needle went in, after that it only felt like a bit of pressure. One donation is 500mLs, and it took about 10 minutes (minus the paperwork). The 500mLs in each donation could be used for up to 3 people, for people who've been in accidents, people who need blood stocks on standby during surgeries, and people who need blood products to live a healthier life. Our foster mum recommends looking into the donation process where you live, to see if it's something you might like to try. The donation has left her with a good feeling in her heart.
Happy almost Friday! From the Bradys and the Smitten Kittens.
Bet you thought this would be a Fui post, right? Hahahaha!
It's not though. It's me, Freja!
and it's me, Athena, too! We found something today that shocked us a LOT.
Can you believe how little we used to be?!
I guess that's what eating your dinner will do :) Remember how we were christened the Little Litter? Compared to our little sisters now, we should be called the Big Strong Litter.
Our foster mum forgot to give some great news! Remember this cool guy, Thor?
He was adopted on Valentines Day! He is a Valentines Day baby! Hooray!:)
This is the Valentines Animini (You'll have to excuse mum's crapola photos).
And guess what! Loki also sent us this wonderful Suey Animini! The tortie patterning is so cool! It even has the light part on the chin, just like our Sausage!
And this great Silver Tabby Fuifui Moimoi!
They are too cute for words:) Loki, you and your Primate are wonderfully creative:)
Look what we got! It's from our Daddy. I was brave and had a look almost straight away. I did get in trouble for whapping it, though. Mum said it was too pretty for whapping.
Fuifui SookSook only got the nerve up to say hello to it today. He thought it smelled very interesting. (Can you see where I whapped it?).
Thankyou, Daddy! We love you!
Mum's been watching Beverly Hills 90210 on dvd. It is on in the background of both photos. Get a life mum!
